ETIHAD RAIL PASSENGER TRAIN : JOURNEYING INTO THE FUTURE
Etihad Rail operated its first freight journey for ADNOC staff on January 25, 2024, connecting the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah. Expected to take 50 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and 100 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. This innovation marks the beginning of a transformative journey for the UAE.
The project milestone was marked by Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, the managing director and group CEO of ADNOC ( Abu Dhabi National Oil company).
The rail passenger services will connect 11 cities from Al Sila to Fujairah. Trains will zoom between stations at speeds of up to 200kmph.
